Lang Elliott is a nature recordist, wildlife photographer, and nature writer. He is the author of numerous books and has compiled several nature sound collections. His credits include The Stokes Field Guide to Bird Songs, Music of the Birds: A celebration of Bird Song, Common Birds and Their Songs, and a variety of audio guides to bird and wildlife sounds. Many of the bird song descriptions on this site come from Common Birds and Their Songs.
Lang is founder of NatureSound Studio, his publishing business. Lang lives in Ithaca, New York.
Charles Haynes is a graphic artist and photographer. Charlie designed the graphic elements of the web site, including its look & feel. He has been working as a graphic artist for more than 20 years and enjoys bird watching in his spare time. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia, where he runs his own graphic design studio, Grafica, Inc.
Jay F. Davis is a database guru who builds custom web applications. Jay has more than 15 years experience in high-end database system development. Jay created the information architecture of the web site and also does web application development and part-time CIO consulting for several companies through his business Amazing Concepts Software.
